APink’s “Secret Garden” is the convenience store?!

Korean girl group APink first stepped onto Singapore when they performed at the annual MNET Asia Music Awards back in 2011. Two years on, the seven-turned-six-member group (Yookyung left the group in April) will be arriving in town on Oct 25 to perform at the first Korean-focused entertainment and lifestyle event Korea Festival 2013 – Vizit Korea.

According to the organisers MediaCorp VizPro, APink will be performing seven songs at the event on Oct 25 at 7PM; fans will also be able to catch the girls up close and personal at a high-five session.

However, APink let nothing on about what they were going to perform, or if there were any special performances during the event in our email interview with the group, prior to their arrival.

In the email interview, APink also shared their memories of Singapore, recalling our country for its “many kinds of delicious food”, “international trade”, “good air-conditioning system” (really, Eunji?) and “clean environment”.

When asked what were places or delicacies they would like to try when they are here again, Eunji and Naeun gave unexpected answers (instead of the usual chilli crab or black pepper crab, which Korean stars are so fond of). The former was recommended to try bak kut teh, while the latter replied, “I want to try rojak, although some women thought of it as a rather greasy dish.”

On the other hand, Namju has a special place she would love to visit, and that’s the Merlion park because “the Merlion statue is a symbol of Singapore”.

Check out the rest of the email interview on the next page, as APink shares the kind of music genre they would like to try out and where, in Korea, their “secret garden” is!
